# AgentUtils API Every callable operation, generated from the same registry as the OpenAPI document and the MCP tool surface. ## pair_connection Pair a runtime with an agent using a pairing code. Exchanges a one-time pairing code for a connection credential. Codes are single-use and expire 10 minutes after issue. The HTTP route enforces per-account rate limits; exceed them and the call fails with plan_limit_reached. - actor: public - http: POST /v1/connections/pair - mcp: writes, non-destructive, not idempotent - errors: not_found, plan_limit_reached, validation_failed, temporarily_unavailable ## connection_status Return the status of the calling connection. Returns the connection record, the paired agent name, the account plan and the granted capabilities. Requires a valid connection credential (Bearer au_conn_…). - actor: connection - http: GET /v1/connections/status - mcp: read-only, non-destructive, idempotent - errors: authentication_required, connection_revoked, permission_denied, not_found, temporarily_unavailable ## create_agent Create an agent owned by the account. Creates a new agent. Names are unique per account. Owner-only: never exposed as an MCP tool. - actor: owner - errors: authentication_required, validation_failed, temporarily_unavailable ## rename_agent Rename an agent owned by the account. Renames an agent. Names are unique per account; unknown or cross-account ids are uniformly not found. Owner-only: never exposed as an MCP tool. - actor: owner - errors: authentication_required, not_found, validation_failed, temporarily_unavailable ## handoff_create Create a secure credential handoff link. Creates a handoff owned by the calling connection and returns its one-time view and submit tokens. The HTTP route applies connection rate limits. - actor: connection - http: POST /v1/handoffs - mcp: writes, non-destructive, not idempotent - errors: validation_failed, permission_denied, temporarily_unavailable ## handoff_decrypt Decrypt values submitted to a handoff created by this connection. Returns plaintext values only to the creating connection. Uses POST /v1/handoffs/decrypt with handoffId in the body so the shared registry has a single JSON input schema. - actor: connection - http: POST /v1/handoffs/decrypt - mcp: writes, non-destructive, idempotent - errors: not_found, resource_expired, resource_deleted, permission_denied, authentication_required, temporarily_unavailable ## handoff_close Close a handoff created by this connection. Crypto-erases a handoff with the done reason. Owner revocation is intentionally owner-route-only and is never an MCP operation. - actor: connection - http: POST /v1/handoffs/close - mcp: writes, destructive, idempotent - errors: not_found, resource_deleted, permission_denied, validation_failed, temporarily_unavailable ## handoff_status Return metadata-only status for an account handoff. Any connection in the owning account may poll non-secret metadata. Uses POST /v1/handoffs/status with handoffId in the body; it never returns field values, tokens, or ciphertext metadata. - actor: connection - http: POST /v1/handoffs/status - mcp: read-only, non-destructive, idempotent - errors: not_found, authentication_required, temporarily_unavailable
